In-Depth Briefing: “Media Works Sustainable Development·ESG Rating Model” Officially Launched—The World’s First ESG Assessment Paradigm for Media Works
Dear UNESCO MIL Alliance members,
In this issue, we focus on the world’s first ESG rating tool tailored for media works—the “Media Works Sustainable Development·ESG Rating Model”. Co-developed by The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Communication University of China, and Media One Research, the model restructures evaluation logic to fit media industry characteristics, offering an innovative solution to the sector’s long-standing pain points of “difficult assessment and weak standardization” and providing significant reference for global media content sustainability.
Value for UNESCO Partners
● Filling the Industry Assessment Gap: As the world’s first ESG rating model for media works, its indicator library and scoring logic can directly provide standardized tools for media institutions in various countries, significantly reducing the cost of building local evaluation systems.
● Empowering Media Literacy Practices: The “Impact” dimension’s quantitative assessment of green concept popularization, cultural communication, and public welfare empowerment can provide a implementable effect measurement framework for UNESCO’s media literacy projects, making the evaluation of communication value more scientific and persuasive.
Best regards,
